Biography

Kerri Sukup Menchaca, a native Texan, finds her artistic muse in the rugged beauty of rural Texas. Inspired by the vast expanse of the Lone Star State's backroads and the unobstructed skies that stretch across its horizons, Kerri's paintings capture the fleeting essence of nature's brilliance.

With a background in realism cultivated under the guidance of renowned artist Dennis Blagg, Kerri's work reflects a deep appreciation for the land and its transient beauty. Graduating with degrees in Art, Art History, and a minor in Geology from the University of Texas at Austin, she combines her passion for art with her understanding of the natural world.

While she finds fulfillment in her work at Texas Christian University's Mary Couts Burnett Library, Kerri's true passion lies in honoring the untamed beauty of Texas's state and national parks through her art. She believes that these landscapes are treasures to be cherished and protected, and she strives to convey their significance to others through her paintings.
