THE MARKS WE MAKE: INTERNATIONAL FIGURATIVE JURIED EXHIBITION
Fort Works Art proudly announced The Marks We Make, an international juried exhibition exploring the enduring power and relevance of the human figure in contemporary art. With over 400 open call submissions, the gallery was pleased to announce the 24 artists selected from across the country whose works reexamined what it meant to represent the human form today. The exhibition ran concurrently with Jenny Saville: The Anatomy of Painting at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, the only U.S. stop for the exhibition, creating a city-wide dialogue centered on contemporary figurative art and the human form.
